Michael Scofield is back, and in a recurring situation, seen through the seasons original 4 season arc.

When the show ended its 4 season run back in 2009, Michael, the structural engineer who had masterminded his brothers Lincoln Burrows escape out of prison was assumed deceased, after a brain tumour storyline throughout the final season.

Prison Break is back and looks to be returning to its roots if this trailer is anything to go by.

The trailer begins with Michaels young son (Michael Jr) asking his mother former Doctor, turned fugitive Sara (The Walking Dead’s Sarah Wayne Callies) about his father.

‘What was my father like? My real father,’ he asks.

‘He was like a storm appearing suddenly out of a clear blue sky,’ she says, as flashbacks show their meeting back in season one when she was a prison doctor. ‘And then disappeared just as quickly.’

After receiving evidence Michael is still alive, Linc goes to Morocco to see for himself, discovering Michael again in jail.

‘Michael, we’re here to get you out.’
